The Drop CSTM80 is the first in Drop's CSTM series of highly customizable mechanical keyboards. It has a gasket-mounted design, custom ABS keycaps with shine-through side legends, and south-facing LED switches. Drop offers two switch options now: Gateron Brown Pro 3.0 or Gaterson Yellow KS3.

Drop has launched the first in a lineup of new keyboards called the CSTM80. The CSTM name alludes to the keyboard’s customizability. In addition to being able to change its keycaps and switches, the top of its case is also magnetically attached so you can simply lift it off.

Drop’s new lineup of V2 keyboards consists of five models across three different layouts. Prices range from $140 for a barebones ALT V2, rising to $250 for a fully built SHIFT V2. Support for 5-pin switches is a great quality of life upgrade.

Drop’s BMR1 desktop speakers are aimed at the PC speakers category. $129 gets you a pair of 15W Balanced Mode Radiation (BMR) speakers. The sound profile is enjoyable but the bass is sometimes a bit lacking for certain styles of music.

Drop is overhauling its in-house mechanical keyboard lineup with the new Alt V2, Ctrl V2 and Shift V2. There are also upgrade kits to let existing Ctrl, Alt, and Shift owners turn their keyboards into V2 models. The keyboards are available in either pre-built or bare-bones configurations.

Drop’s in-house DCX keycaps are constructed from ABS plastic with a modern cylindrical top design. These colorful sets are similar to popular designs from GMK and meant for Cherry-style keyboard switches. 1Password is offering new subscribers half off an annual family plan until June 17th.

Drop has announced the new Drop BMR1 Nearfield Monitors today at CES 2023. The speakers promise to provide “high-quality” and “big sound” from an affordable and compact package. They support Bluetooth 5.0, include a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and aux-in line, and can be connected to an external subwoofer.
