Edward Dabrowski of Webster, a retired Commerce (later Mapfre) insurance employee of nearly 40 years, testified that he spotted the phone the morning of July 5, 2019, two days after his eldest daughter was killed. Asencio's lawyer, as has been his custom for most of the witnesses at the trial, did not cross-examine Dabrowki.

Spanish insurer Mapfre holds $22 mln worth of Silicon Valley Bank, Credit Suisse debt. The exposure to the two banks is a tiny amount for Mapfre which handled 41.4 billion euros in investments.
