Dr Wright complained that Project 13 concerns were not raised in the first inquiry into the lab's practices held in 2022. Project 13 was found to be "fundamentally flawed" and introduced without being scientifically validated, with the automated testing method yielding up to 92 per cent less DNA than the manual technique.
