Incident happened northbound between Junction Seven for Larkhall and Junction Six for Hamilton around 3.25pm on Friday, November 24. The vehicles were a white Peugeot Boxer van, a red Peugot 107 car, a grey Mazda 3 car and a black Mercedes-Benz C class car. All have since been discharged from Wishaw General Hospital. Road policing officers are appealing for information.

The name of the woman who died in a hit-and-run in Wellington last Thursday has been released by police. She was 62-year-old Anita Rani of Naenae. Rani was struck by a dark grey Mazda 6 sedan and the vehicle immediately left the scene. Police revealed later the car had been stolen from an address in Belmont. It was recovered later the same day at 12.20pm, but the driver is still on the loose.

Southern police are reporting Mazda, Nissan, and Toyota vehicles are being targeted in Southland. It is believed a group of Invercargill youths are responsible for many of these vehicle thefts. Police are advising vehicle owners to exercise vigilance against car theft.

Police believe four Golden Retriever puppies were allegedly stolen from an Edmonton home along with a Mazda MX-5 coupe and jewellery. One of the puppies was later found with a 16-year-old boy at an address in Woree about 9.55pm. The remaining two puppies were found at two nearby homes this morning. The three boys were refused police bail and are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Children's Court. Another person is in custody and assisting police with enquiries.

A silver Mazda 3 was left lying on its side after the collision. Police said a woman was briefly trapped before she freed herself. Three women were treated at the scene before they were taken to hospital. Two of three citybound lanes were initially closed, but have since reopened.

Matthew Valerio will be sentenced in February next year for recklessly causing grievous bodily harm and failing to stop and assist after vehicle impact. The 22-year-old was captured on CCTV parking his white Mazda ute in a no-stopping zone on Marian St in Enmore, in Sydney's inner west, just before 8pm on November 26. About 40 minutes later, a parking ranger noticed the unattended ute and issued a ticket. After yelling at the ranger, who told them it was too late to contest the ticket, the pair got back in the car and drove off. A grey Volkswagen Amarok, Porsche Cayenne and Dodge Ram truck were allegedly stolen from homes in Russell Lea and Kingsford on October 23 between 1am and 5.30am. Detectives found CCTV of two men allegedly "getting out of the Porsche in Erskineville, before getting into a silver Mazda CX5" and appealed for information from the public. A 32-year-old man was arrested in Ryde.

Rose Kerwin, 50, reported missing Monday, day after body found in river near Pakenham, Ont. Police said her death is considered suspicious. Kerwin's car, a blue 2013 Mazda GX four-door sedan with licence plate CSXW 383, is also missing.

Bree Maddison Brown, 22, lost control of her silver Mazda and hit the light in Currumbin Waters, Gold Coast, on October 11. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.117, more than twice the limit of 0.05. Brown was fined $650 and had her driving licence suspended for four months.
