The restaurant's owner, a 54-year-old Campbelltown man, was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Three other patrons were left with minor injuries. The driver of the Astra, 42, is now assisting police.

A patrol spotted the stolen Holden Cruze at suburban Blair Athol just after 1am on Saturday. But as police tried to stop the car, they say it sped off sparking the pursuit. Police allege the driver of the Holden then deliberately reversed into the patrol car twice before driving off.

A P-plater has allegedly struck a 12-year-old boy while driving through a busy intersection in Sydney's east. The boy was pinned between the white Holden sedan and a tree after the teenage driver allegedly mounted a footpath. Emergency services worked for around 40 minutes following the horror crash to free the boy before he was rushed to hospital in a critical condition. The teenager was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and negligent driving. He was granted bail and will front Parramatta Local Court on January 10, 2024.

Police are searching for a gunman and a getaway driver over a targeted shooting in Sydney's north yesterday. Two men were crossing Upper Pitt Street in Kirribilli when they were set upon by an individual wearing all black. The two men fled the scene and were pursued by the shooter and another person driving a white Ford Ranger. The Ford Ranger was found alight in a car park on Raymond Road, Neutral Bay. Police allege two men were seen exiting the vehicle before setting it alight and getting into an orange Holden Commodore sedan.

The 85-year-old's wheelchair and a Holden Monaro collided on Alfred Street in the Townsville suburb of Aitkenvale around 3:30pm yesterday. The man was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a critical condition with leg injuries but died later that night. The driver of the car was not hurt and is assisting police.

Brad Hill was riding his motorbike on North East Road near Inglewood Inn, 20km from Adelaide, when he collided with an oncoming car.
